Jeffrey Lord

Associate political director in the Reagan White House, Jeffrey Lord is the author of The Borking Rebellion. His book, about the Senate fight to confirm Judge D. Brooks Smith, was favorably reviewed in The Wall Street Journal.

Jeff has written for The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator, National Review Online, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and The Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Previous to working for President Reagan, he worked as Chief of Staff to Reagan Campaign Co-Chair Drew Lewis, Executive Assistant to U.S. Senator John Heinz and as Legislative Director and Press Secretary to Pennsylvania Congressman Bud Shuster. He also worked for HUD Secretary Jack Kemp during the first Bush presidency.

A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, his career began as a press aide on the staff of the Pennsylvania State Senate.

Jeff has appeared on numerous national television and radio programs. He develops strategy and messages and provides tactical guidance for the issues management and crisis communications practices at Quantum.
